Parking at DTW

I'm leaving for a trip Thursday night and coming back early Monday morning. I need a place to park and leave my car. Where is the cheapest place to park? I'm limited funding as it is, and no one is able to pick me up. Thanks!

The cheapest parking lots at DTW cost about $5 or $6 a day. Just follow the signs that say "Economy parking" from which will need to take a free bus shuttle to the terminal.

Of course the more expensive parking lots are within waling distance from the terminals, but bus shuttles run about every 10 mins from the cheaper parking lots to the terminals which is pretty convenient.

And when you get back to DTW, you will need to go up the top floor (check-in area) to catch the bus shuttle back to the parking lot.

Happy travels!

There is the on-site parking called The Big Blue Deck. Last time I used it, it was $6.00 a day. They have shuttles that drop you at the terminal. Off site parking can be $6-7/day. Here is an article that lists most of them:

Since we live an hour from the airport we sometimes stay at an airport hotel that offers free parking. It beats driving in at 4:00am to make an early morning flight. For $70 you get your room and up to 7 days free parking. In the morning grab a complimentary coffee and danish and hop on the shuttle.

Hope this helps!

I recently flew out of DTW and parked at the long term parking at the McNamara terminal... I paid $20 per day. In hind sight I should of done my homework before parking. I found a website that offers discounted rates for airport parking called http://www.discountairportparking.net. I booked online through the site and only paid $7 per day. I will use them again. My advice is to spend a few minutes and research airport parking options before you travel.

As this thread is six-years old, I would think the OP already made a decision.
