Parking alternatives around Aulani
 

DH, DD and I will be spending about 6 days at Aulani Disney Resort. The daily self-park fee at the resort is $35 per day (free for DVC members, but we are not DVC members). Does anybody know of any cheaper parking alternatives around Aulani? $35 seems very steep!

Many places in Oahu charge for parking, so it's not unique to Aulani. But Aulani is located in a completely artifical resort area, and there is (except for a scant handful of parking spots at the beach park there) no free parking that I'm aware of ... for miles. I could be wrong here, but I don't think this is avoidable. I think you just have to accept that this is going to be an additional cost of your vacation.

And the free beach parking lots do not allow overnight parking.

Funny, my doctor's nurse is heading out there tomorrow for 5 days . He's taking a cab out there from Pearl City, and has a friend picking them up because of the parking fees. They don't plan to leave the property at all.
