Parking

I live in Bartlesville, OK and am taking Amtrak out of OKC and will be gone for 10 days in Dec. Where is safe parking available in the area or is there a Motel near where I could stay the night before and the night I return and leave the car parked during the whole time. Thanks for your help.

You may gt more help if you post with the name of the city in your subject line. Good luck!

If you look carefully abram, you will note the original author has identified the trip as out of,and return to OKC---Oklahoma City.

"If you look carefully abram, you will note the original author has identified the trip as out of,and return to OKC---Oklahoma City."

Is it possible to tell that before clicking on the title?

If you look carefully, gplusg, you will note the original author has put "Parking" and nothing else in the subject line. No mention of the city.

hey jayjay, heres finally some real info you can use. the amtrak train station in oklahoma city is located at the intersection of sheridan & e.k. gaylord.

there is ample free parking within walking vicinity of the train station located at byers & reno ave at the bass pro shops.

I would recommend one of the hotel lots or public lots and make an arrangement with them. The people at Main Street Parking are really nice and let them know what your situation is so they'll keep an eye on your car. The public lot is ok for a day but would not recommend 10 days. No way. My FIL travels quite a bit from there and parks in Main Street as does DH. Main Street Parking is just of west of Broadway and Robinson on Main -- Just a short walk to the train station.

Here is a website with all the hotels and phone numbers in that area:

I would recommend the Courtyard by Marriott as its fairly new, nice and affordable. Also, it is walking distance to nearby restaurants and movies.
I would call them to ask what their parking fee is and its in a garage, too.

Hope that helps.
