Park Hyatt at the Bellevue - Phila.?
 

Is anyone familiar with the Park Hyatt at the Bellevue in Philadelphia? Any info regarding amenities, service, rooms, location, would be much appreciated. <BR> <BR>Thanks, Frank.

Frank, <BR> <BR>The Park Hyatt is in a great location and is one of the top three hotels in the city. Since I live in the area, I am unfamiliar with the hotel rooms. However, the dining rooms are wonderful. <BR>If you indicate your interests, I'd be happy to help.

Hi Frank, <BR>The Bellevue is an old hotel, but it has been refurbished by Hyatt (trivia - this is where Legionnaire's disease broke out in the 70's). Elaine is right - have dinner at the Founder's Room restaurant there one night. It is located three blocks south of City Hall so you are right in the center of town. The rooms are of a good size and clean, staff is courteous, good room service menu too. <BR>Let me know if you need more information. <BR>

The hotel is in a great location...near theaters & downtown cultural & shopping spots. I cannot say Founders would be good however. I took my wife there for her birthday last month and was very disappointed with the service for the price you pay. Expect to drop at least $100 on dinner, probably closer to $150.

You could try Upstairs at Varalli across the street from the Academy of Music (very close). Also, The Palm is a great place for lunch or dinner-great service, great food-not romantic-but fun. Have fun.

Victor's Cafe is a unique and fun restaurant within your price range a short cab ride away in South (Italian) Philadelphia. We regularly took out-of-town guests there when we lived in Philadelphia, and they always liked it. It's a tradtional Italian restaurant with good veal and seafood dishes, but the hook is that waiters are all serious singers (mostly opera) who periodically do solos.
