Paris or Bellagio

My husband and I will be staying in Las Vegas for 3 nights in early May. Then we have rooms reserved for 3 weeks at the various lodges in Zion, Bryce, Moab(Arches Natl Park), Page (Lake Powell), and North Rim Grand Canyon.

For our begining of the trip 3 day stay in Las Vegas, Paris has a package deal for $89/night with gambling and dining coupons. We can get a room at the Bellagio for $194/night. Is the extra expense at the Bellagio worth it? From other threads, it sounds like the Bellagio is very luxurious. Any opinions out there?

I'm sure others will disagree but I would much rather stay in the Paris than the Bellagio. I personally hated the Bellagio - it was too Orange and tacky.

I think if you put Bellagio or Paris into the text search you will read all the threads that people have written on this subject. There really isn't anything new to add. It has been done to death as you will see from the amount of threads.

If you're used to staying in high end hotels, Paris will disappoint.
If you're not, stay at Paris-the standard room at Bellagio won't seem worth it to you.

Trust me. I've debated this countless times here, and this is the best answer. Look at your own 'hotel history' and that'll tell you where to stay.

(PS: it's the suites at Bellagio that really set it apart from the rest. The standard rooms are nice enough, but the suites are truly world class).

You might want to consider if a view of the Strip is important to you. At Bellagio, a view of the fountains will cost you more than a view of the pool (which effectively is a highway view.) I would not pay the extra $105 per night if it is for a view of the highway. Part of the charm for us of staying at Bellagio is being able to watch the fountain show from our room while we are getting ready to go out.

As previously stated, if you are usd to staying in high end hotels like the Ritz or Four Seasons, the Bellagio will be more to your liking.

For us, part of the reason we stay at Bellagio is the great pool area, the spa, and the high-end dining establishments. However, if those things are no big deal for you, the extra cost might not be worth it.

Obviously, if you're posing the question, the money is somewhat of a concern. For over $100/night difference, I'd definitely choose Paris. I liked the look and feel of both hotels. How much time will you really be spending in your room anyway? Also, some rooms at Paris have nice views of the fountain show, if that's even a concern.

Stay at Paris! Enjoy the crepes and the money you saved.

I would choose Pairs in your situation. If Bellagio went down to $149, then I would consider it worthwhile to switch, assumin ROH room.

Oh yeah, if you book Paris, request a "P" room at check-in. If they're available, you'll usually get one (for free). They are end rooms and are larger.

For the price difference I'd choose Paris unless you really need the extras Bellagio offers, or you are used to travelling in high style.
By all means visit Bellagio though.
It's got the prettiest casino.

I too agree with "Hello There". I love Vegas and I also love a very clean and well appointed room. My experience at the Bellagio was wonderful. I must admit I really enjoyed staying at Paris as well. I think that if you keep checking you may find a lower rate for Bellagio. Since Paris is giving you 'extras', I'd say stay there. Hopefully you can get a room facing the Bellagio fountains.

I would vote for Bellagio. We spent a week there in a penthouse suite and it was wonderful. The service was fantastic, rooms spotless, resturaunts expensive but service was first class. The lobby and botanical gardens get crowded in the Bellagio but the rest of the place you could move around. I like the idea of Paris but the gift shop, resturaunts we simply couldn't move! We finally had to get out of there we felt so clastraphic.
