Paris-Aladdin-MonteCarlo?? Any have jacuzzi?
 

Going to Las Vegas (1st time) 9/02/02. It's both my husbands & my birthday & our 30th anniversary! <BR><BR>The rates at Paris, Aladdin, & Monte Carlo are about the same. $69 a nite. Generally they all seem to be in the same area of the strip.<BR><BR>Do any of these hotels have a separate tub/jacuzzi in the standard room? <BR>I guess after reading all the threads here, my final choice is being determined by the tub in the bathroom??<BR><BR>Oh, boy - can I use some advice!!! Help please!

The quality of the room at Paris is a definite step above that of the Monte Carlo. As for the jacuzzi, I really don't know. Aladdin was not yet open when we were there but I have heard conflicting reports on its appeal.

Aladdin has a jacuzzi in the bathroom of their deluxe (their standard)rooms. Stayed at the Aladdin last year. Found the room delightful; the pool area fair; the casino good; the buffet great; shopping great; and its location very good. I would not hessitate to stay there again and $69 sounds like a very good rate.

I don't know of any affordable rooms in any of those three that have jacuzzis, but the jacuzzi suites in the Luxor are well worth it and somewhat negotiable (especially Monday through Thursday nights). When we stayed there, they upgraded us to the jacuzzi suite at no cost for two nights (paid $79 for a standard) and offered it for $100 more on the weekend nights.<BR><BR>The room was great. It was located at the top of the pyramid with the large jacuzzi directly up against the glass overlooking the strip.<BR><BR>As for location, I liked being next door to Mandalay Bay and opposite the MGM Grand. New York, New York (one of the more interesting casinos) is also two doors down. As for getting down to the Bally's, Paris, Bellagio area, the MGM Grand has a free monorail shuttle that takes less than five minutes.<BR><BR>Good luck and enjoy your time out there. If you find a better jacuzzi room situation, please post it!

Message to: p8ntldy: I apologize for making what may be a misleading statement. The "jacuzzi" I referred to may actually be a oversized soaking tub and not a jacuzzi. Sorry.

The inexpensive rooms I stayed in had oversized bath tubs with huge showers.<BR><BR>I cant speak for any of the other casino's in that part of the strip

lol...I guess i should ahve said which one i stayed at....The Alladin is the casino I was referring to.

It would be far easier to just call or e-mail each of the hotels and ask directly. Then you have GOOD info as opposed to the opinions we have, which may or may not be correct. I've seen lots of bogus info posted this morning on other threads so excuse my cynicism!

The tub and shower are separated the same as Aladdin. If you book Paris, ask for a "p" room - a larger very well appointed room with a two-directional view.

We stayed in a standard room at Paris recently and there was a separate glass shower and tub. The tub was not big enough for two people of normal size (OK, it wasn't even big enough for two average teens).<BR>Those bathrooms are quite dark, which is unusual. My wife complained about it regarding lack of light for applying makeup, etc.<BR><BR>Lots of people think Paris' rooms are really nic. I thought they were OK, not bad, not great. I've stayed at Bellagio, Four Seasons, Luxor, Treasure Island, Mirage, Mandalay, MGM. I'd put it in the middle of that pack.

For p8ntldy: I too luv whirlpool tubs. The Paris hotel has a whirlpool tub but it is very small and not in the standard size rooms. Might I suggest Caesars (palace tower rooms) their whirlpool tub was large enough for me and Sweetie Pie. Oh one other thing, try Ballys, I saw a picture of one of their rooms and it showed a pretty large tub. Give them a call. Another hint, since its your birthday and anniversary, mention it to the check-in clerk and you just might get an upgrade. It worked for me. Enjoy Vegas.

Stayed at Aladdin last year and loved it! We got upgraded to a Resort Room. (just tip the reservationist when you check in and request an upgrade). It was very lovely room. Room was large with a HUGE marble bathroom. Plus we had a view of the Bellagio's fountains. I would definetly go for $69.00 a night.
