Paragliding on Kauai?
 

Are there any paragliding companies on Kauai? I've searched and searched and came up empty. Looks like there was one called Proflyte or Birds in Paradise but the website doesn't appear to be working since the owner died last year.

Not sure if anyone is flying these days. Big Sky Kauai owner and 'student' crashed into the ocean while flying too low for the parachute to be effective. Gerry and 'student' from Birds in Paradise crashed into the pali after his trike caught fire due to a fuel line issue. I safely flew with him 3 times. I also enjoyed flying with one of his dearest friends Armin on Maui. You might search 'trike' or 'powered hanglider' I'm not sure paragliding is the proper search word.

There used to be 3 powered hang glider outfits, all three of the owners died in crashes, not sure it is something I would want to do personally.

Thanks all...have found out there is no longer a company that flies there and, obviously, for good reasons! I'll stick with ziplining :)
