Paperwork needed for US holidays

Apart from passports what other paperwork, ID, will my wife, children and I need for a family holiday in NC next year? What sort of time should I allow myself to get any of these things? Thanks for your help.

Where (what country) are you from, and how long are you planning to stay?

It depends on where you are coming from.

My appologies.....didn't think of that. Travelling from England and staying for two weeks.

Then your passports should be sufficient. Visa rules here are changing rapidly, but the rules for short visits from UK citizens should remain unchanged.

Thanks!

I would always check with my own country first to find out what is needed.

A passport is all you need but check to see if a visa is required. Once here you won't have to show the passport to anyone and no one will ask to see it.

As long as the airline you travel on takes part in the Visa Waiver Scheme, your UK passport is all you need. Don't forget your driving licence if you are going to hire a car adn of course travel insurance details.
