Palomar Hotel Westwood - Los Angeles
Anyone familiar with the Palomar Hotel on Wilshire Blvd in Westwood?
We want to be relatively close to the Getty, and Westwood seems like a good choice. We've never stayed at a Palomar so am hoping to get opinions on both the specific hotel and the chain in general. We stayed at a Sofitel in Philadelphia earlier this month and checked out the lobby of the Palomar there and it looked similar to the Sofitel in terms of quality. They're offering a free dinner for 2 at the hotel restaurant BLVD 16, as part of the rate, so it seems like a good deal.
Also is anyone familar with Wilshire Blvd in Westwood, how is the area?

I stayed there last year and had a very good experience. Nice fresh decor, bathrobes. Helpful staff. The area is very nice, walking distance to UCLA.Sign up for the Kimpton Club card and you'll get free WiFi.Book a room in the rear to avoid noise from busy Wilshire Blvd.
I'm now a fan of Kimpton Hotels after that stay.
