Palms of Islamorada
 

Does anyone know anything about this condo property? I am renting there in January and am curious about amenities, location, condition of the property, etc. Thanks!

Hmn. I've stayed at the Pines and Palms but am not familiar with the Palms condo property.

The ocean side of the highway there has no beaches unless manmade.

It is close to the heart of Islamorada, which I think is the Islamorada Fish Company, World Wide Sportsman, The Lorelei, a grocery store, and many marinas.

I'm sure it has dock facilities and a pool. Do you have a boat?

Are you familiar with the keys?

GoTravel: Thanks for the information. I was at Cheeca Lodge about 8 years ago but frankly don't recall a whole lot as we only left the property a handful of times. No boat. It seems like Bahia Honda (sp?) is the only real beach to speak of? Also, what kind of weather are we looking at for late January?

I've been in the ocean in the keys in late January and didn't have a problem and have been there when I would have loved a parka so the weather is a crapshoot.

Howver, I think the average daily high is somewhere around 75 degrees which will be warm.

I highly suggest if you can to get out over the water. Rent a boat or get on someone's boat.

Your condo pool will most likely be heated.

Bahia Honda is quite a ways away. Anne's Beach is closer but not much of a beach.
