Palm Springs Hotel Suggestions

Hi all, I have decided to go to Palm Springs for 2 nights during my 3 week trip to the States.
Does anyone have any experience staying at some of the high end hotels there. A friend has recommended the Parker and Viceroy. I have read mixed reviews on both. Has anyone stayed at either hotel?

Would love to hear any suggestions.

Thank you

The historic Willows is where I would love to stay. We took a tour of historical sites which included the Willows.

I love the Parker, although the food was not quite as great as it should have been. The ambiance is wonderful, especially if you are into Mid Century Modern.

The parker does look good. I will also look at the Willows. Is there much to do in Palm Springs?

I checked the Willows website, and they don't really allow for children.

If I were you I'd rent a vacation rental in the Vista Las Palmas area. You get a lot more bang for your buck. Look at this beauty and it's close walking distance to downtown:

Here's just one in Old Las Palmas near a few restaurants, corner store, and an easy walk to downtown:

There are hundreds to choose from!

Dai, that house looks amazing, but they are booked when I want to go. If I was more organised I would have booked in advance. Next time! Thank you so much for finding it for me.

You're welcome :-) but just because one of them is taken do remember that there are hundreds of stunning homes to choose from in PS because most homeowners do not live there year 'round.

You can search the following databases

vrbo.com
http://www.ps4rent.com/
http://www.vacationpalmsprings.com/
http://www.acmehouseco.com/

because there are seriously too many to view, you can contact the last three companies and ask them to send you a list of the 2 or 3 bedroom homes they have available in Las Palmas during your stay. It's amazing to me how cheap they are when compared to a luxury hotel.

Thanks so much for the websites. I will look at them.

Cheers
