Palm Springs for small destination wedding?

My mom and fiance have decided they'd like to tie the knot in Palm Springs next spring. Probably less than 20 guests.

Thinking of maybe a hotel/pool type ceremony location. Looking for a non-church location. Something classy and beautiful, but not formal and stuffy.

Maybe a restaurant afterwards to celebrate?

Any ideas??

Thanks in advance!

We loved Moorten Botanical gardens, beautiful informal setting, and they rent it out for weddings and other celebrations. Location - if you look at the map where South Palm Canyon turns to become East Palm Canyon, just a block or 2 off.

A friend I trust -- since she is very picky about hotels and restaurants and has excellent taste -- attended a small wedding at the Korakia Pensione in Palm Springs (www.korakia.com). She raved about it. I can't say I've been there, but from the web site and pictures, it looks beautiful. It is a small, Moroccan-style hotel. I believe you can get spa treatments there. It looks very romantic. I recommend you check it out!

Some great suggestions in this thread. Other possibilities...

The Willows in Palm Springs. Gable and Lombard honeymooned there, how cool is that?!?

Ceremony in a date grove at the Yacht Club in Coachella.

Ceremony by an ornamental pond at Empire Polo in Indio.

Congratulations to them and happy returns.

Look at http://palmsprings.com for general information about Palm Springs.

Korakia is beautiful. Doug is the owner. Very well run.
Willows is stuffy in my opinion.
Casa Cody is another beautiful place and not as pricy as Korakia. Frank and Theresa are the owners.
There are many good restaurants from Melvyns, to St James, to Europa, to Blue Coyote. It depends on your food style.
