Palm Springs - Flea Market?
 

We are heading to Palm Springs next week with my in-laws. Someone told them there is a "Flea Market" in downtown PS on Saturdays? I've never heard of it - does anyone know about this? Is there a weekly festivle in downtown PS? Any other tips on unique or not-to-miss adult activities are greatly appreciated! (husband and father-in-law are golfers) <BR>Thanks in advance!

Julie:<BR><BR>There is "Villagefest" on Thursday nights downtown. Palm Canyon Drive is blocked to traffic and there are vendors, street performers and food.<BR><BR>There is an event every Saturday and Sunday at College of the Desert ("C.O.D.") in Palm Desert that is more of a "swap meet" type of thing. if they are planning on golfing, they should book now in order to get an EARLY morning tee time. it will be VERY hot by 9:30 a.m. <BR>the tram offers a deal with the ride up and then dinner. i've heard this is really good and would get you out of the heat during late afternoon.

I would comment that it is not at all "very hot" by 9:30 am at this point. In another month perhaps, or if there is a heat wave. Days have been hovering just under 100 and the nights and mornings have been stellar. I would plan on teeing off by 7:30-8:00 and finishing by noon.
