Palm Springs: Climate In Late Sept.?
Hi:
As many times as I've been out there, I've never been out in late Sept. Am thinking of going either week of 9/21 or 9/28 & would like to know what the temps would most likely be . . . Thanks! |
It can still reach the 100 in September - but at least not the 112 it is right now :-D

Hi Mom DD:
Thanks! I just want to be assured of "pool weather" when I go, but I'll probably be going w/a friend, and he doesn't want to be there when it's in the mid- 90s or higher . . . Think that'll be OK? |
We often go in mid- to late- October and it's usually in the high 80s to low 90s then, so I can't imagine that it WOULDN'T still be in the mid-90s in September. You can check historical daily temps on intellicast dot com.

Oh it will 100% still be pool weather - no doubt. Regarding your friend. I cannot say. I would look at the data historically and see. I *think you should be fine...

per accuweather for Sept in Palm Springs:
Average High: 102°F Average Low: 71°F It gets slightly cooler toward the end of the month, but Sept is the 3rd hottest month in PS - you would be very lucky to have temps in the low 90's |
Here are the stats. Your friend will be in trouble.

We were there at the end of September maybe 3 years ago. The temps were upper 90s if not 100, no wind. My husband enjoys hot weather, I was dying :) We'd wake up early and come back for an air-conditioned nap, then stay up late.

Thanks to all!
Yes, it looks like I'll be safe -- and then some! Actually, he likes to lay out in the sun, so I think he'll be fine! |

Ohh, don't worry. There will be LOTS of pool weather left in September for sure. Yeah, your friend will be in trouble. But you'd be surprised how often people are surprised when it is 95+ and they feel comfortable and think it is a lot cooler. PSL |
Some of the good hotels in town have poolside high pressure misting systems so that no matter how high the temperature the guests are comfortable.
Always ask if the hotel your booking in the summer has a high pressure mister poolside. not just one at their restaurant. It makes a big difference in guest comfort level.
