Palm Springs

Has anyone stayed at either the Desert Hills Hotel or the Chase Hotel? We are planning a trip for Memorial Day weekend. Any other suggestions close to town would be great too! Thanks

We have friends who stay at the Chase Hotel a couple times a year. I know it is walking distance to the center of Palm Springs. They like the pool area very much. %%-

We loved the Chase hotel! We were there New Year's eve a couple years ago, it was fantastic. It was a great location, and a lot of fun.

I looked at the Chase hotel's website, and they have weekly and monthly rates posted. Is this the red flag? Is this some kind of a residential hotel I should stay away from?

In the very beginning of research, going to Palm Springs...

The Chase is nice. They probably get snowbird traffic and the units have kitchens, hence the long term rates. I went on the annual PS boutique inn tour and liked the looks of the Desert Hlls Hotel better, some friends use it as their favorite. The Calla Lily Inn was also appealing.

Thank you, MLGB, I will look into all 3.

I stayed at the Chase Hotel in October a couple of years ago. The hotel is a true gem, built in the late 1940s and spotless in every respect. The evening manager baked a batch of chocolate chip cookies just for me!

Many people come to Palm Springs for longterm stays (winter months) and live at this hotel. My room was large, very comfortable, faced the delightful pool, and had a small kitchen which would've been fine for a long stay. I found this hotel by accident while driving around looking for a place to stay and what a great find.
