Palm Springs 3 best restaurants?
Hi. Going for first time to Palm Springs in June and would love to have three great dinners. Husband's a chef and very critical, so I'm looking for very gourmet-type meals. We prefer places with great vibes, cool decor and hip crowds...Suggestions please!! We love all cuisines.

melodyt13,
I can recommend Bangkok 5. It's on HWY111 in Rancho Mirage. it's gourmet Thai in an upscale setting. We were there last month - excellent.
JoeG

You can check the Zagat's Guide-- their big LA area volume has a section for PS and the Desert. Bear in mind that PS is not a Gourmand's Paradise, but it's getting much better than it was even five years ago. I'm sure you can find something nice for under $100 per person.

Melodyt13-
We had a great meal at Jillian's...intimate atmosphere, great food, good service, good wine list. It has a wonderful courtyard that if the weather is nice, would be perfect for a special occasion dinner.
Jane
I agree with all the restaurants on jayinla's list but would skip Le Valleuris. Overpriced, small portions and sometimes huffy staff. I would also add Desert Sage and La Quinta Grill in La Quinta and Le St. Germaine in Indian Wells. As mentioned, Jillian's is also very good.

I enjoyed Europa, which is located in the Villa Royale Inn. Nice atmosphere, cozy but not too cute, and good French inspired dishes.

I have found the performance at Europa to be uneven, but I have had some great meals there. The setting is also great.
