Palm Beach walking or driving tour
Hi - what is the best way/itinerary to walk or drive by beautiful mansions or streets in Palm Beach ? Any area/streets/avenues that I should target for a scenic ride or walk ? Memorial day we thanks

Palm Beach is small enough to drive a number of streets in a short time. A map will help, even printing out a Google map. Worth Ave is the famous high end shopping street for walking--one end is at the ocean. The Flagler Mansion/museum should not be missed.

Palm Beach island is a small town. Are you staying on the island? If so you can easily walk up and down Worth Avenue where the shops and restaurants are centered along with a few side streets. As for the mansions the route is A1A along the ocean. You might catch a glimpse of Mar a Lago. The whole ride won't take long You won't see much since many are behind gates and hedges. Some can be viewed by walking. At this time of year the island is quiet as most have gone north. It is worthwhile to visit Flager Mansion to view what one of these homes are like. You can walk along the water and peak in at the homes in the area.

You can also walk or bike along the sidewalk that goes behind the homes on Lake Worth/intracoastal directly across from West Palm. After you go over the north bridge (onto Royal Poinciana Blvd), take a left at the first light. Go down a few streets and find a side street on the left side which ends at the water. Find a place close by to park, then walk/bike/rollerblade the sidewalk as far as you want.
The Flagler Museum is (IMO) a really interesting place to visit with great architecture.
Find a place to park on Worth Avenue and windowshop, then lunch or dinner at Taboo.
There is also a tour via water taxi; or the Diva Duck (which starts at City Place) which takes you on a land/sea tour of West Palm's downtown historic areas and along the waterway by Palm Beach with info on who lives where and points out interesting homes (like one designed by Frank Lloyd Wright). Draw back is that they may already be booked up since it's Memorial Day weekend.

You'll see more from the water.

The Flagler Museum makes a pleasant visit and then you can walk along a path from there on the water.
