Palm Beach FL dining and charters??
 

Heading to new territory, staying at the Breakers. I am looking for any input of great food, regardless of atmosphere...we love everything from french, italian,asian and dives with the best conch fritters. Since we don't golf, are there other adventures we should consider like private day sails, etc.....I really know nothing about this destination......thanks to anyone who can offer suggestions!!!!!!

Hi:<BR>I am familiar with Palm Beach. I have been going there to spend my vacations eversince 1997. I love it.<BR>There are very good restaurants. Charlies crab (seafood), Johny G's (great breakfasts),The restaurant @ the Ritz CArlton PB, among others. <BR>Tell what kind of info do you want and I'll help you.<BR>

I figure one night will be jacket and tie at either the Ritz or Breakers. The rest is looking for hot places - not the scene but the food...informal moderately priced french bistro fare, great fish house etc..Always looking for a great breakfast joint...will try Johny G's...........and please, the best conch fritter in a 30 mile radius...doesn't matter if it's a dive or upscale...although they seem best at a dive! Thanks!

I will try to help you.<BR>If you are considering to use a tie I will strongly suggest you go to the Ritz Carlton PB, their food is better. The breakers is a beautiful historic hotel but they don't have a very good reputation nowadays. The Ritz has just won the 5 Diamond 5 stars. There is a very good tuscan restaurant, kind of expensive, in Worth Avenue (have you heard about this Avenue?). It is called Amici. There is also a good italian restaurant named Bice, very Palm Beach. <BR>I strongly recommend John G's although you will need to be there by 6 am to avoid the lines. It is located in the old Lake Worth Casino. It is not very classy but surely is a lot of fun. I am not familiar with the conch fritters in Palm Beach. The best place to eat them is in Key Westa and its about 5 hours away from Palm Beach. I have heard some good comments about Conchy Joes,. I think it is located in Hutchinson Island, north of Palm Beach. Chuck and Harlods is also a fun place to go. it is located in Royal Poinciana avenue. <BR>If you are considering to have a day @ a spa the best place is Babor. It is close to your hotel and even though they are expensive, they offer the best products in the world. You might even find a celebrtiy there, I have found some. I am glad you found it interesting. I forgot to tell you that if you want to try an excellent lobster, inexpensive, you can go to a place which name i don't remember. Departing from the ritz carlton you go across the intracoastal through the bridge. When you get to US1 you turn to your right and then you will see a street that ends in US-1 named Lantana. In that corner (NW corner) you will find a red wood house, it is excellent. Only locals know about it
