pallisades mall

Can anyone tell me about Pallisades Mall in West Nyack (I believe) New York? What stores are there? Were you impressed?
It's a huge eyesore and I hear it's sinking - literally. I wouldn't go there if you paid me.

I disagree with it being an eye sore. it is probably the largest mall in the area. Besides having the traditional 4 adepartment store anchors like Pennys, Filenes macys etc... It also has a home depot, circuit city, and office max right in the mall. It really is one stop shopping.

The Palisades Mall is not an eyesore (just a little bit big) and it is a rumor that it is sinking. Not only does it have 4 department stores and the above mentioned stores, it has numerous restaurants (which tend to be crowded at peak hours), huge movie theaters, an ice skating rink, and an amusement area for the little ones. It is a great place to go in this AWFUL summer heat.
I go there a few times a month only because I live 7 miles away. I don't know if I would make a special trip to see it if I lived say, an hour away, especially if there was a decent mall and/or shopping closer to me. It is fun to visit, though.

If there's one thing I enjoy more than traveling it's shopping!

1. It's not sinking.
2. Besides dozens (hundreds?) of stores, there is also a 21-theater multiplex, an I-Max theater, ferris wheel, merry-go-round, plus all the other attractions mentioned above. It's a sort of family-happening-type place.
3. It's a decent mall, but there are certainly many other far better attractions in the area for tourists. (And, if you're a shopper, you'd probably enjoy more the Woodbury Commons outlets in Monroe, about 30+ miles north on the other side of the Hudson.)

The Palisades Mall is huge like everyone said. It has your standard little stores (Gap, Abercrombie & Fitch, Pottery Barn, Williams & Sonoma, Sports Authority, etc). Big Ferris Wheel, Carousel, Race Car thing, Dave and Busters Arcade/Restaurant, A Rain Forest Cafe. There are a few uniques things but most of the stores can be found at other malls. If you decide to go to Woodbury Commons Outlet stores it is on the same side of the Hudson, North of the Palisades Mall (exit 16?) on the NYS Thruway.

Oops, sorry, yes the Woodbury Common Outlets are on the same side of the Hudson, and yes, it is Exit 16 on the NY State Thruway.
