Pali Ke Kua

We have booked a condo at Pali Ke Kua for our June trip, just wondering if anyone has pro or con views about this location>

That is a fine location in Princeville. Good views from some units. We usually stay right up the road at the Cliff's, but have visited there several times. There is a good on site restaurant there also. You should enjoy. Email me at anytime with aany other Kauai questions.

We stayed there in 2003 and had a unit which had a nice ocean view, but for our stay in August 2006 we've booked one of the units directly facing Bali Hai. Can't wait! :)

Great Location...we have stayed there twice.

Upper units have better views with balcony...lower units have walkout patio. Also, the direction that the condo faces...can make a big difference regarding view.

Most units are individually owned...so that the interior decor can vary quite a bit. Prices and unit availability may vary with the booking agent that has the property listing.

One con for some people is the lack of a accessable beach. There is a small beach but it is down a steep path...inconvenient for some.

There are so many really nice beaches nearby,.,.it wasn't a problem for us

Thanks for all of the responses.
According to the pictures on Kauai Remax, we have a great view of Bali Hai.
And also we are on the second floor.
I'll be sure to post my thoughts afterwards.

We'll be at Pali Ke Kua the last week of June and the first week of July. Previous stays were close by at Pu'a Poa and Sea Lodge. We love the area and it's a short hike to Hideaway, my favorite beach. Pali Ke Kua has some of the greatest views and sunsets on the island. You will absolutely love it there.

If you need details on getting to Hideaway go to this web site.

Enjoy!

We're newbies to this resort and Kauai.
How is the pool? Any other outdoor areas of note?
Is there a concierge on site, some sites say there is.
Can you buy day passes to the hotel swimming pool??
Are the 2 bedroom 2 story units on the first and second floor?? I booked from a private owner and didnt ask enough questions
Did anyone walk to the Princeville hotel? How long is the walk
Any island must do's?
thanks so much

We arrive at Pali Ke Kua in two days and have stayed there several times while visiting the North shore. Go for the splurge of a direct ocean front view of Bali Hai. It is well worth the few extra $$$s spent. We have rented from Princeville vacations in the past - Lori Patch, and have been extremely pleased with their handling of the properties and the more reasonable pricing as opposed to renting directly at PKK.
