Paging OO

On the Go Travel thread you mentioned a friend recently took a Patagonia hiking trip. Would you ask her to post a trip report? I am going next year with three friends from high school and am very interested in learning about her experience.
Thanks.

OO is in the midst of moving to San Antonio Tx. I don't think she is going to be online for a few days. I will email this thread to her :)

She posted within the hour on FF. Maybe she'll see it.

Scarlett Mar 18th, 2005 06:58 AM

:D I sent her the thread, since she is online, she should be here soon !

Thank you, Scarlett and starsville. I appreciate it very much.
Scarlett, pats to Monsieur Pup, please.

((&)) Pup sends his regards. He has just gotten a haircut and is avoiding looking in the mirror, so I am busy convincing him that he is beautiful.

Poodles are very particular about their appearance, aren't they?

OO Mar 18th, 2005 07:55 PM

Thanks for sending the thread Scarlett. Yes, I'm neck deep in a move and tonight will be my last computer access for over a week. For the most part I've had time for only a couple minutes of computer time for the past week, but now even that will be gone.

cmcfong...unfortunately she has never been on Fodors and probably has no time now. I too was telling her that one of her group should get something online, the trip was just that fascinating. But then, it's one thing to hear about it and quite another to see the pictures to go with the story. Any report must, must, must include both. She'd warned me they were a disappointment and I know from Grand Canyon and Utah that those shots generally lack depth, and just don't depict the beauty of the area...but when I saw hers, they were astoundingly beautiful. Awesome!

She said one of the group was going to try to get something online and if that happens, I certainly will let you know. Meantime, I'll keep gently nudging her in that direction. Your trip will be one of those trips of a lifetime...at a very reasonable cost! I would love to make it myself! More later, when time permits!

Thank you, Scarlett, for sending the thread on to the busy OO. Thank you, OO, for taking the time to respond while busy with the move. I hope someone in your friend's group will consider posting the pictures. What little I have seen makes me very anxious to go. I am debating whether to fly into BA or Santiago and go from there to Patagonia. Any help or hints from your friends, when time permits, would be greatly appreciated.
