Pagin Easy Traveller and other Monterey familiar folks

Please advise!! Elderly in-laws are travelling from Napa to Monterey this weekend and desire somewhere midpoint for a nice lunch. I drew a blank..Suggestions?

Pam, what route are they taking? If they are going through SF and down 280, wouldn't that be close enough to halfway? Or are they going down the east side of the bay?

I've never found much between SF and Monterey.

How about someplace in Berkeley, on Fourth Street perhaps, depending on the route they are taking. I also cannot think of any place between SF and Monterey (if you don't go down 1). We were once reduced to stopping in Gilroy to eat at an Applebee's or some such place because of the lack of options.

Going down through the East Bay, 4th Street is a possibility, although parking can be a hassle. How about one of those places right on the Bay, like Skates? Decent food, nice atmosphere, easy parking, and great view.
