Page, How much time, things to see
 

I am currently planning to spend 2 nights, and 1 1/2 days in Page. I am thinking about the 1/2 day float trip, Antelope Canyon, Horseshoe Bend. A few questions, have I missed any other must see sites? Will these fill the day and 1/2 ? I could spend another full day if there are more things to see and do, I have been thinking about the trip to Rainbow Bridge which I think is a full day trip, is the 3 mile hike strenous and is the scenery different that what you would see on the float trip?

You shouldn't have any problems fitting the 1/2 day float trip, Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend into 1 1/2 days.

The all day boat trip to Rainbow Bridge is different than the float trip. You see more canyons and buttes on the Rainbow Bridge boat trip. The two times we did the boat trip, the lake was high enough to see the arch from the boat.

Thanks utahtea for the insight, I am undeceided about using an extra day on this trip between the following
1. Canyon de Chelly, drving down to that from Gouldings and then to Page for 1 1/2 days and 2 nights
2. Going to Page and in addition to the float trip taking the full day trip to Rainbow bridge.
We will be seeing Arches, Canyonlands, Natural Bridge, Monument Valley, North Rim of CC, Zion, Bryce and Capital Reef, so I was wondering if Canyon de Chelly is similar to the area we are scheduled to see?

Canyon de Chelly is unique - a lot of history and your tour will be led by a member of the Navaho Nation.
We were at Page this past May and did the trips you proposed - Horseshoe Bend Hike, the 1/2 day float trip, and Antelope Canyon were the high points - it is a long walk from the boat to Rainbow Bridge and having done both, I think the Canyon is one to choose.

We will be driving from the South Rim to Page for a float trip and the Antelope Canyon tour, and staying the night before heading to Sedona for the rest of our trip. This will be early July. Please help with the order...arrive mid-day and do the 1:30 or 3:30 Canyon tour, spend the night, then do the 7:00 float trip. Or flip-flip the order and do the 12:30 float, spend the night and early morning Canyon tour the next day. Concern is about the heat. How hot is the Antelope Canyon at that time of year early to mid-afternoon? And the heat for the afternoon float? Which is more bearable?!!

I am thinking about the Courtyard for accomodations. Will they allow 5 in a room? Even if it's 2 double/queens with a rollaway?

Since you are going in July I would do the float tour in the morning. You will get some shade from the canyon walls.

Antelope is cool, so you can do that during the hottest time of the day. Horseshoe bend has no shade, but it is a relatively short walk so you could do that any time just take water.
