Page, AZ Lodging, which one?
 

If I can get an employee rate at Courtyard Marriott, would that be comparable to staying at the Waweap Lodge? I am willing to pay the $109 a night at Waweap if it is worth it...looks to be right on the water?

We always camp, but since no one answered your post, I wanted to let you know that the Wahweap Lodge is right next to Lake Powell. It's the only one on Lake Powell that I know of. It's also about 5 miles from the town of Page, AZ...but what a beautiful drive going back and forth!

Page is a small, non descript town with a string of hotels alog it's main street. Most of them are fine, and many have views of the lake or the mountains. Page is NOT on the lake, but a good 15 minute ride, and you will need to enter the park to get to the water. Wahweap is right on the lake, in the park, with a marina. If you want to be on the lake,Wahweap is the only option, at least in the Page area.

We stayed at the Courtyard last summer. It is on a hill overlooking not much except big piles of dirt (there is also some construction nearby but it is not noisy)- further up the hill is a McDonald's. Dustiness of the area was compounded by long drought in the area and the fact that we were there in the heat of August. It is a very easy drive into Page.

The hotel itself is one of the nicer Courtyards I have been to - seems fairly new. Nice pool area. Did not eat at the hotel - went into Page.

I stayed at Wahweap for one night, and enjoyed the night view of the lighted yachts on the lake. And the stars... I could see them off my balcony! As I was with a tour we had time only for the Antelope Canyon boat tour, I highly recommend this one, leaves from Wahweap marina.

The only thing spectacular about Waweep is the view and its proximity to the lake. If being close to the water is important to you, go for it. But it sounds like you can stay in a nicer hotel at a cheaper price and commute to the view. The hotel is rather run of the mill, but very clean, updated and comfortable. The view from the restaurant is great and the grounds are great for walking after dinner.
