Packing for Florida Keys

We are visiting the Keys very soon (June) and need tips on what to pack. Can we get by with just shorts for guys, or is there ever a need for a pair of pants and/or a jacket? We really don't plan on anything fancy, just casual stuff.

The Keys are really casual - unless you want to go out to a fancy dinner, shorts will be fine for guys.

Even in some of the finer restaurants in the Keys...casual is very acceptable. I just left there, and it was very warm, and I am from the west central coast of Florida. So make sure that you pack light weight clothing.

Linen works really great down here. And you don't have to worry about the wrinkles!

Anything over shorts, tshirts, bathing suit, and flip flops and you will be grossly overdressed.

Getting my husband to put on long pants in the keys is a waste of my time.

I usually go out to dinner with a sundress thrown over my bathing suit.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR RESPONDING to my question about packing. We unpacked jeans and pants from our suitcases. We never needed anything but shorts. It was very hot and humid, and everywhere was casual. Nothing but the lightest clothing was needed.
