Pacific Terrace Inn, Pacific Beach, San Diego
Thinking of spending 2 nights here; it looks like it's right on the beach. We just want to relax, sit on the balcony and look at the ocean, walk on the beach. This would be in May. Have you stayed here? Did you like it?

Assuming you mean this one http://pacificterrace.reachlocal.net/ - it's a great location and as I recall - fairly new. Not sure you can get a condo at the Capri for only two days - but it's also a great location - a block or two over. http://tinyurl.com/86lcu2b
You are also close to several places to dine/pub visit - and my favorite French in SD is just down the road in La Jolla - Tapanede - http://www.tapenaderestaurant.com/ or you can also go to the nearby French Gourmet in PB, for great French pastries if nothing else. :) http://www.thefrenchgourmet.com/ |
And May could be beautiful - or you might have a little June Gloom/marine layer/fog - so also bring a sweatshirt/light parka for your walk on the beach.

Yes, Tomsd, that's the hotel. Can you recommend any restaurants within walking distance of the hotel (for dinner)? Preferably something by the water. Prefer casual over "fancy".

Just looked at the website for the French Gourmet.Looks great.

Looks like the French Gourmet is closed on Sun and Mon nights and those are the nights we will be in PB. Any other restaruant suggesttions, preferably within walking distance of hotel?

I love the Green Flash- short walk from the hotel. It is very casual- there is an outdoor dining area right next to the beach- its a great place for breakfast too

I had looked at the Green Flash website and it looks good.
