Pac Bell Park Day Game Tix?
I'd like to take in a Giants day game and all tix are sold out.
I know the team has an official web board where people can sell extra tix, but last time I checked the prices were outrageous. What is it like trying to buy a ticket outside the stadium on game day? Do cops troll/pose for scalpers? If I can't get in, what sights are nearby that you'd suggest I check out so my trip that area won't be wasted? |
Try craigslist.com or EBay.

What game are you trying to attend? What day?? If you look on Yahoo Sports for the SF Giants, they list a few outside vendors that sell Tix.

Second vote for craiglist. If you cannot find a seller, you can always post stating how many tickets you need and your preferred season.
If you go down and cannot get in, have a bite to eat at ACME steakhouse and walk along the Embarcadero. Go to the Ferry Building and check it out. If you do go and try to buy tickets outside, I would think you would have some luck. You just run the risk of getting fake tickets (happened to me the first time I bought scalped tickets when I was in high school :((). |
Sadly, you have to remember it is now officially SBC Park. No one will pay any attention to the new name, but any searching you do should include SBC.
There are always PLENTY of scalpers. A GREAT, GREAT ballpark. They finally did something right in San Francisco with PRIVATE MONEY!!!!!!!!!! Curious |
Thanks for the tips - I'm looking at CraigsList but don't hold out much hope. So, I guess I'll go down and takes my chances.
I appreciate kikahead's alternative suggestions and am still open to additional itineraries. So, if you were at SBC Park on a Monday @noon and had to be at the pier @4 to catch the 4:20 Alcatraz boat. What would you/where to go to cheer yourself up? |
Momo's. It's right across the street from Left Field. Great place to people watch while you are waiting to go into the stadium.
