Oxygen on planes

What can you tell me about flying with portable oxygen? I don't suppose a person can take his/her own? Help! I'd hate to never be a be to fly again.

All I can tell you is that I have seen people board airplanes with those little portbale tanks-on-wheels. I'm sure you've thought of this, but why not contact a couple of airlines and ask what their policies are?

Pat, check out this URL:

http://www.oxygen4travel.com/tips_air.html

This web page is specifically about traveling with oxygen. My understanding is that you can't use your own, but airlines will supply it for you in-flight. But this site should link you up with all the info you need.

Go for it!

Besides the issue of oxygen on the plane, I trust you've worked out the details of replenishing the tank while at your destination. This can be logistically difficult due to differences in health plans and manufacturers of oxygen equipment.

Thanks for your reply. The web site you recommended was fantastic, and I learned all I need to know. I'll pass it on to others in my situation as well.
