Outside food in Disney theme parks?
Hello everyone,
I am planning a trip to Disney theme parks in Orlando and I am wondering if they allow us to bring a small cooler with some snacks and beverages. I went to Universal last year and did not have any problems, any advice will be appreciated. Thanks. |
It took me twenty seconds of searching after I entered
disney world outside food but I found this: www.disneyonadime.com/food.php |
I always bring drinks and snacks in to the theme parks but I travel with small children, so maybe this is why I have never had a problem. But, I have observed many people doing the same thing so I don;t think it is an issue if you bring a small cooler in with drinks or snacks. But, to be sure call them and ask 407-W-Disney.

They are a bit fussy about coolers (I think they must be soft-sided), but drinks and snacks are fine. Now that said, drinks are worth bringing, but I would never bother with snacks unless I needed something specific. Disney snacks are tasty, and while not cheap, not nearly as ridiculous as in most theme parks.

I've also taken soft coolers with drinks and food when my kids were young and never had any problems. It saved us from having to wait in the long lines when my kids were hungry, and we could stop anywhere in the park for a snack break without taking the time to go find a restaurant. It was a super time saver.
Even if you plan to buy meals and drinks in the park, having the snacks and water in between will still be helpful. Food that doesn't need refrigeration such as peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, crackers, and trail mix work well. |
