Outlets in N.Y.
 

I am going to N.Y.C. next week, I was wondering if anybody knows about places where I can get Designer clothes but at a lower price or any outlets.

The outlets are located in Secaucus, New Jersey. If you are unable to get out of the city, go to a Barnes & Noble (or any other book store) and look for a guide to shopping in New York City.

There are also outlets in Monroe, NY, called Woodbury Commons, but they are about an hour and 15 minutes out of the city (off the NYS Thruway.) They do however have a very extensive selection of Designer clothing (Armani, Christian Dior, etc.) I don't know of any other discount outlets closer to the City. Hope this helps somewhat.

If you must stay in the city, try the Lower East Side of Manhattan - below Houston street, around the Williamsburg Bridge. There used to be lots of clothing stores selling name brands at significant discounts. Service isn't great, and some may be last season's goods, but the prices were decent.

The best Manhattan discount department store is Century 21 on Courtland St. near the World Trade Centre. Designer clothes, housewares etc. Change rooms are limited to wear leggings and t-shirt to try on in sore.

There are two good outlets I know about.

About 2 1/2 miles north of NYC.

One is is Cohoes NY (Cohoes Commons) has designer
clothes at much lower prices and the other is
near Lee, Massachusetts (just across the border of
NYS off of the MASS Turnpike (first exit).
They have many, many stores. Maybe for a future trip.
