Outlet shopping in NJ
I know there was a thread not long ago about the largest outlet mall in the country located in New Jersey. The search function isn't coming up with anything!

Where in NJ is it? Thanks for any info!
|
Hm...I'm guessing it's Jersey Gardens in Elizabeth. It's a great outlet mall, though it's so crowded that I don't go there anymore...can't stand the crowds.

There are also many huge outlet stores in Secaucus (nearby)...though they are close together, they are definitely not a "mall"

Shopper,

You might be refering to Woodbury Commons, in upstate NY, not too far from NJ.

I don't know if it's the largest, but seemed huge to me - and great selection.

Web site:
http://www.premiumoutlets.com/outlets/outlet.asp?id=7

Hope this helps,
Andre

I don't know North Jersey so maybe it's there but I know Franklin Mills in Northeast Philly (rightover the border) is pretty big. Flemington, NJ also has a number of outlets.

Secaucus, NJ - outlet after outlet- stay away fron Jersey Gardens, was there today -first time in along time - police patrol often, though they need to - lots of stores closed, Rain Forest Cafe is gone -

Secaucus is probably the best for shopping, although it's not a mall. When it started about 30 years ago, many manufacturers had warehouses in this area. They would open their doors once or twice a year to sell off excess merchandise. It's changed (like everything else) but is still a fun way to spend the day. You certainly won't leave the area empty handed.

Jackson NJ not far from the Six Flags Great Adventure theme park. HUGE outlet shopping area with several hundred stores.

Good shopping.

Dave
Although not that large, Flemington is very good.
