Go to Orlando!! There are two premium outlets; one on Vineland and the other on International Drive. They are both fabulous. Their websites have store directories. Access them to see which outlet houses the store in which you are interested. We mapped out our list and went to both!! Many duplicate stores at both but there are also stores unique to each location. Have fun!!!

Ellenton is one of my favorites. It's just a short drive after crossing the (beautiful) Sunshine Skyway Bridge south of St Pete. Then you get onto I75 and take just about the next exit heading south. Very easy to find. And closer than going all the way to Orlando.

In my experience "deep discount brand name" and "outlet mall" rarely go together. I've done the comparison numerous times and consistently find the same brand name goods on sale at major department stores are cheaper than outlet stores. The prices at outlets often advertised as % discount that sounds great, but it's off of an inflated MSRP. Unlike the very early days of outlets when they sold factory 2nds with tolerable defects the merchandise at outlets these days is all right off the boat.

Outlet malls, especially the huge ones with 200 stores, are a good place to find a wide variety of name brand goods in one place, but anyone who expects bargains is shopping up the wrong tree.
