Outlet Shopping in CA
 

I'm from Austria-and planing a trip to CA in Sept.I love the outlet stores-but couldn't find any in sites in the web. Can anyone recommend a few stores between SF and LA??-Thx.

Hi Silvia, <BR> <BR>I live in the Bay Area, and my favorite outlet mall is the Gilroy Premium Outlets off of Leavesley Road in Gilroy. It's about 1.5 hours south of SF on Highway 101 (which is on the way to LA if you take the 101). I think it's the biggest outlet mall around this area and has about 150 stores. Happy shopping!

Closer down to LA area, there are a few outlet centers along the 101 freeway...one in Oxnard and another down the freeway in Camarillo. The one in Camarillo is quite large and should offer you a fairly good selection of shops.

Another vote for the Gilroy outlets, about 1-2 hours south of SF, depending on the time of day. There are also new outlets in Napa on Route 29 which are managed by the same people as in Gilroy. You can leave SF driving to Carmel and spend the most of the day at Gilroy shopping till you drop. I know they have a website, but you'll have to search for it.

I live in Napa and the outlet stores here are very limited in number. The one in Gilroy on 101 is by far the biggest one I've seen. The ones in Oxnard and Camarillo donot seem as big as the Gilroy one. <BR>Good shopping
