Great thread!

Never have been to either....have spent more time
in Dewey Beach/Rohoboth DE and some in OC, MD.

Just talked to a friend last night about a road trip next summer along Atlantic coast. I will be posting and reading a lot.

Is HH more "like" OC Md.....in that I mean lots of families, crowded and mini golf courses everywhere?
I have heard OBX is very laid back.
Is there any night life? By that I mean places near/one the beach that you can sit and enjoy life, a little music an a cocktail past 10 pm? No wild life...just some?
As far as the beach...any beach is good to me being from the MW...(.grin)

Is it possible to get a room for a night or 2 in either to allow for a coastal trip adventure or is everything book for a week?

Just curious if OP is still around and if she has any follow up to offer?

We've gone to HH for years and are going to try OBX (Corolla) this summer. Looking forward to it!!

bagsarepacked, Hilton Head is nothing like Ocean City Maryland. HH is a very controlled manicured resort town.
