Outer Banks of N. Carolina

We are looking for a nice hotel on the outer banks

Are you sure it has to be a hotel? Because this area abounds with excellent amall cottages all the way up to enormous luxury rental homes. What amenities are you looking for? We own a cottage (6 BR, so much too big for you) with a private pool in the Corolla, and we have a gorgeous brand new Harris Teeter with a great deli section, great spa services at The Spa at Corolla, and some very nice restaurants. Can't figure what you might need from a hotel that a cottage wouldn't do for you! Some cottages even have elevators. Let me know your needs and perhaps someone can point you in the right direction.

Is this a joke too, or a tongue in cheek test to see who will answer, thehumps?

Dear Chumps:

Please be more specific as to the intent of your post and what you are trying to find out.

Sincerely, Lori

Joke or no joke, I find the answers useful regardless of how general questions might be. I don't believe most veteran posters think this site is exclusively for them. No question is a "stupid" question, we've all asked them, we've all answered them. Lighten up and help out whoever needs a little travel advice.
