Outer Banks late June

We are planning a trip to Outer Banks (like Nags Head) in late June for week. Looking for some place to rent that is just a plain little cottage or similar. No children, 4 adults would like to be on water or close for fishing, relaxing. Does not have to be fancy, just clean and comfortable. Any ideas or past experience?

A few weeks ago we stayed in Nags Head at the Owens Motel. It sounds like what you want. It's just a mom and pop motel. Not fancy but directly on the water, not expensive, and clean. We had an efficency on the first floor, #12, It has a king bed with bath and kitchen( to cook our fresh fish, yummmmm). The unit next door I believe, has two queen beds. We like the ground floor because you step out your screened back door onto the sand with the water just beyond. http://www.owensmotel.com/

Thank you CD, I believe you are correct. I have already requested additional information. If anyone else has more suggestions, please share. Always better to have a lot of choices.

This house is on the beach two doors down from ours. I haven't been in it, but I know its full all summer with repeat rentals. That's always a good sign, and its one of the best beachfront bargains I have seen. I know the owners maintain it. Fishing is better here than in northern beaches, and the fishing pier is 1/2 mile away. Fishing is best in the fall...
