Outer Banks-Crab/Shrimp Boil dinners

We will be visiting Kill Devil Hills this August and have heard about shrimp/crab boil dinners that you can pick up ready to cook. I am looking for any info regarding that or any suggestions on how to make our own. ARe coming from NY and thought that it would be a fun night. There will be 12 of us. Thanks for your help

I would suggest calling your hotel.

I have found that the hotel workers in small towns are the most helpful of all.

I prefer the restaurant. Have a lot of Fun!

Thanks, but we are renting a house so there will be no hotel service. Still looking for any info out there regarding shrimp/crab boiled dinners

Is this the thing with seafood, potatoes and corn on the cob? If so, I think it would be pretty easy to put it together yourself. I'd use Old Bay to season the crabs or shrimp. Fresh local corn should still be available in August. Most rental homes have monster big pots for just this kind of a meal.

The place cd mentioned has good fresh seafood. My only comment about the "clam bake" is that most or all of the seafood included isn't local. Possibly the shrimp or clams, but I'd ask.

Sounds like a great meal though!
