Faina~that was no dream. I got that same call!!

I do hate these pitches but we both have voted solidly against the governator and did so last week. I'm happy to tell 'em that if they call. We are on the Do Not Call registry so hopefully this has made a difference.

I did get a e mail through Sutter at work saying what the "Corporate" stance was on certain props supposedly to ensure the future of health care. I really resent this!

Now let us sit back and wait for Texas Travel Pro to rant!

PamSF, sorry to disappoint you, but the election calls like all non-profits are exempt from that non-call list.

Only the telemarketers can't call you, again with exemptions, like if you have an account in a bank they have the right to call you ignoring the list, or if you bought something at Sears with your credit card (even the card not Sears's) they still have the legal right to call you.

It's a no-win situation for us, consumers, and that no-call list is such a hoax!

Ronkala - I had messages from the two Georges: Bush and Allen. I'm surprised the phone didn't blow up!

I'm surprised that "Jesus" hasn't called to leave a message to vote for the Republican party.

I remember back in 1980 when automatic calls were made at all hours of the night to tell people to vote for Ronald Reagan.

Last presidential election I had calls from all sorts of people. Best one was for a city councilman's MOM. She had a lot of love in her voice for the three seconds I listened of it before hitting delete.

I feel like calling the candidates at home and saying "Hi, I'm ncgrrl and I want you to stop calling me. If you keep calling me I'll vote for your opponent. I don't care if I'm against everything your opponent has every said, but at leaste s/he has the decency to NOT CALL ME. I'm an educated, informed woman who does vote and this call means NOTHING to me. Thank you and have a good day."

Thank goodness for answering machines. How did people live without them?

I came home to 4 *new* messages and none were from Warren Beatty or Jesus
and I wish the phone would blow up !

Do you think it's possible to charge
these yahoo's with inappropriate electioneering because
I completed my absentee ballot at home ?
:-?
My phone is only 5 feet from my polling place...

I just voted here in Ca., and it was incredibly crowded. I live in a conservative OC town, and I think the folks were all out supporting Arnold!

Hooray!! The governator's attempts to drive California more into the ground..failed!!! You never want to mess with teachers, firefolks, nurses or the police.

Everyone at the school I work at is very happy this morning. The only downer is all the money that was spent for nothing. Maybe Arnold should pay the people of California back.

What's with Arnold having his "victory" party in Beverly Hills? Why wasn't he in Sacramento last night? Well only another year of Arnold, I wish we could say the same about other people in public office.

In NC we don't get celebrity calls, but there have been some spates of these abominable calls. If I could have talked to a Person, I would have told them the call cost their candidate one vote.

Yahoo! Republicans lost Big Time across America. George Bush has no clout and must now account for his mistakes, his lies, his war, and his lack of judgement. I Love America.

Hi there PamSF, I thought of you this morning when I read the election results.

Obviously the voters of California are not as stupid as Arnold thought...but yes, what a waste of money this election was, disgusting IMO.

Arnold is just another one of those rich boys who doesn't have a clue. Anyone who owns two Hummers and a multi million dollar home has no business governing the wages of real working people. He needs to get out of government and back into his "acting" business.
