I think I know which guy you were talking about making the jewelry. He used to sell at the Banyon tree in Lahaina. I remember him telling me he was going to be in New Zealand for a while. He hasn't been in Lahaina since then. I LOVE the bracelet I bought from him and I'm a beader myself!!!! I marveled at how he could bead those tiny seed beads with no help from glasses and he's no youngster either. I'm so jealous!

Oh my gosh! That's the guy! I haven't seen him in years so it's good to know he's alive and still beading. He looks just the same, too. Must be the good life, huh? Maybe I should think about setting out a blanket on the beach somewhere and sell my things....hmmmm. The pix were great and makes me homesick...and hungry. Headed there in February which seems lightyears away. Don't want to wish away my days though.
