Orlando WDW, SeaWorld and Universal Studio - recommendations ?
 

Hi all,

We are a young couple (no kids) who are going to visit Orlando for the first time in a few weeks time for 4 days. Any recommendations on what we should be doing ? What parks are a must-see ?

Since we dont have kids, we arent into the whole Disney characters thing. So I guess, we wont jump with joy if we see Mickey Mouse walking around !;-)

We like rides, but are not hardcore maniacs. In fact, we dont like extreme rides (i.e. flips at 100mph).

Given all this, can anyone suggest the best places and parks we should goto ?

lots of people overlook Sea world.
Arabain nights diner show is good also.
Universal is great ,staying in one of there motels has nice perks (special lines)

Hi Kau,I would say try the Hard Rock Hotel and Universal/Isands of Adventure.
It's a great place to stay...lot's of fun.Good music,nice rooms,reasonable prices,and close to the Parks too! You also get Front of the Line staying at a On-site hotel! The Hard Rock is an awesome hotel with a great pool and a slide that's loads of fun!I did not want to go at all because of the theme of music being played constantly but it was sooooo fabulous! The music was great,the service,the pool,and the easy walk to City Walk and the Parks! I guarantee you'll have a great time!

I haven't been to Universal/IOA, but don't overlook Disney's Magic Kingdom, for a lot of fun rides that aren't all Mickey, or too extreme. And also, Disney's MGM park is alot of fun. The shows there are great and relaxing.

I agree with the suggestion to stay at the Hard Rock Hotel. Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios are both great parks, and for a young couple it would be fun to go to Citywalk with its many restaurants, bars, and movies. The on site hotel allows you to bypass the regular lines for rides and shows, which is a huge advantage. But even if you can't stay on site, you shouldn't miss these parks.

I also agree with staying onsite at one of the Universal hotels. The express access in priceless. There are a lot of special rates offered at these hotels. Go to www.disboards.com and scroll to the Universal forums section. THere are threads there that explain how to get the hotel discounts and everything else you'll ever need to know about Disney, Universal, and Seaworld.

Just a suggestion!

You MUST go to Disney's MGM Studios -- Home of Aerosmiths Rockin Roller Coaster! Its AMAZING. Also Tower of Terror, Beauty and the Beaast Show :) and more, all in a hip movie-town setting from back-in-the-day.

Skip seaworld. overrated. Even though you don't have kids..you must go to the magic kingdom. I went to the MK once when I was four and once when I was 21. Disney World has grown up alot. It is a lot more adult oriented. Even the kid rides are still awesome...haunted mansion, pirates of the caribbean, space mountain. even the toy story buzz lightyear ride/videogame was fun. it is almost impossible for an adult to go to disney world and not be transformed into a child. the different is..these rides are a lot more fun after a few beers! also the tower of terror at mgm studios is fun. and universal is great. the rides are more like interactive stories. great time. and don't feel so "grown-up" that you think you can't go and give mickey a pat an the butt. you'll find yourself getting excited over the smallest litte things while you are there. you can't help it...have fun!! p.s. for adult fun go to the boardwalk at disney world..lots of fun bars and restaurants and still a romantic setting.
