Orlando Theme Parks/Hard Rock Cafe Hotel

Our family (children 12 and 9) are planning to spend 3-4 days at theme parks. Thinking of 2 days at Universal Escapes and 1 day at Animal Kingdom. Is Animal Kingdom worth it? In early 90's, we did Magic Kingdom,Epcot, MGM, Sea World. Which, if any, are worth a repeat or would you do something else for day 4? Has anyone been to the new Hard Rock Cafe Hotel - if so, your thoughts and is it worth cost to stay onsite at Universal?

<BR>I'm going in a couple of weeks and am having the same problem-- so many things to do and not enough time! I have heard, though, that Animal Kingdom is worth it-- especially if you have kids!

RE AK: shows esp The Lion King and Tarzan Rocks are TERRIFIC! Kids will love it! Safari Ride, Train Ride to Conservation Station, and spending time at Cons. Station to see animals up close it great. River Rapids ride & countdown to extinction thrill ride very fun! Another park trip to consider is Discovery Cove. Check out www.DiscoveryCove.com for details. It seems pricy but includes EVERYTHING except alcohol & professional photos, AND includes 7 day pass to Sea World. Discovery Cove is only open 9-5, so you can use Sea world pass after you leave DC. You must have a reservation to go to Discovery Cove. We went last year and all dolphin swim times were booked, but we went anyway - there is plenty to do all day, and it costs lot less. It was the highlight of our Orlando trip.

Personally, I think all the parks are worth repeat visits, but I am a bit biased. But, if you only want to visit Animal Kingdom, then go for it. We love that park and think it is worth it. As Joy mentioned, the Lion King show is fabulous (haven't seen Tarzan yet), as is the safari and Kali river rapids (you will get wet). Just keep in mind, it is not a zoo. Animals are not in cages ready to do a song and dance for you. You may see all the animals, but then again, you may not. If you remember this, you will have a great time.
