ORLANDO THEME PARK ADVICE NEEDED

My boyfriend and I (21 and 22) will be going to Orlando for the first time for three days - Nov 16, 17 and 18.
We've decided we want to go to Magic Kingdom, Seaworld, Universal, Islands of Aventure and Wet n Wild.
We're thinking we need to eliminate one of these - is Seaworld worth it? We want a mix of thrill rides and water rides.

This way we could go to Magic Kingdom 1pm-10pm on the 16th and buy a 2 day pass for Universal, Islands of Adventure and Wet n Wild for the 17th and 18th.

I've been to Disney in Orlando many times and frankly, except for the Tower of Terror or the Expedition Everest which are in two different Disney parks, I wouldn't classify many, if any of the other Disney rides as "thrill" like some of the coasters at Universal.

OK, perhaps Space Mountain and that means you would need to go to THREE different Disney parks in one day!

I just meant thrill rides/water rides for Seaworld! I'm actually quite scared of rollercoasters, but my boyfriend loves them.
We're not expecting 'thrills' from Magic Kingdom, more so the magic of Disney :)

Seaworld seems a bit boring though, besides the animal shows. Whereas 2 days at Wet n Wild, Universal and Islands of Adventure looks like a lot of fun!

SeaWorld doesn't really have many rides. That would be the one to skip. It also may be too much to expect to do Universal, Islands of Adventure, and Wet N Wild all in just two days. In that case I would also skip Wet N Wild. There are a couple water rides at Islands of Adventure to fill that need.

Will it be warm enough at that time to enjoy Wet N Wild?

I think Islands of Adventure is a must see!

schmerl Sep 16th, 2013 08:16 AM

That's a good point Jayne1073. It's not all that warm in Orlando in November.

While SeaWorld does not have many rides, I believe it is a great place to spend the day. They have really great shows and 1-2 coasters to ride.

"Is SeaWorld worth it?" -- it is very different from the other parks you mention, so the variety might be nice. That said, however, I'd recommend you see the movie "Blackfish" before you go, if you do go.

And you know about Fastpasses at Disney, right? Those will help maximize your time.

Magic Kingdom is only open until 9pm on the 16th. It's one of the few nights that week with a parade and it's a Saturday so expect high-ish crowds.

Where are you staying?

Magic Kingdom is now $95 for a one day pass. Personally, I'd either do all 3 at Disney and buy a 3 day pass OR do all of my time at Seaworld and Universal.

Yeah I think it will be roughly 22-25 degrees when we are there which isn't ideal for a water park but the pools are heated so they cater to the crowds all year round. We're reconsidering Wet n Wild though, may just do Magic Kingdom, Universal and Islands of Adventure.

Will Magic Kingdom have the firework display at night?

rizzo0904 Sep 19th, 2013 05:23 PM

Yes, fireworks at 9pm

Skip Sea World.

I think you would enjoy:

Magic Kingdom
Islands of Adventure
Universal.

I've been to all a million times since they opened. They are great! Enjoy!
