orlando or miami help

we will going to orlando next month for 5 days. we have things planned for the first 3 days and on our last 2 days we want to relax. should we spend these last 2 days in orlando or go to the south beach area in miami. we have a hotel which is near bayside marketplace. and we will be flying out of fort lauderdale airport. we also have a 3 yr old daughter.

Please don't stay by Bayside Marketplace.

It is a tourist trap that is nothing of the true flavor of Miami.

If you want to go to the beach, don't stay downtown, stay out on one of the beaches.

If you must stay downtown, stay in Coconut Grove or Coral Gables.

What is your budget?

Orlando or Miami?

Orlando.

With a 3-year-old, I'd say look in Ft. Lauderdale if you want beach time. You DO know that FLL is THREE hours from Orlando, right?! Are you flying into MCO (Orlando) and out of FLL, or into and out of FLL? I shudder at the thought of a 3-hour drive to start AND end a vacation...!

And why did you even consider staying by the Bayside Marketplace?!?!? Like Go said (Hi, Go!!), it's a tourist trap, not even near the good beaches of Miami Beach.

Something sounds very wrong here. Like "I planned this during a three-day migraine attack and after mixing Ambien and tequila body shots" wrong.

yes guys we will be flying in and out of fll. As for staying near the bayside marketplace we have a free radisson hotel here. How is the bayside marketplace. WE just wanted to go out for dinner, how is the location. Is it on the water. Or we can just stay the last 2 nights in our free raddison hotel in orlando.

Why don't you stay at the Radisson in Ft. Lauderdale? It isn't on the beach but it is a very nice resort.

I'd probably stay in Orlando before I'd drive the 3+ hours to stay downtown Miami.
