Orlando Lake Buena Vista Dining Suggestions

We will be staying next month in Lake Buena Vista. We are going to Vero Beach for one day, Epcot for another day. We (wife and I) are looking for dinner suggestions for places to eat in (1) Lake Buenva Vista area, (2)on the road to/from Vero Beach or (3) near Epcot. I know I'm asking a lot in one post. No chains; would prefer where the locals go; we are from Cal so Mexican is out. Casual would be great but food quality is the most important factor (bar food is fine if it's great).

Thanks,

Rich

Here is the problem rgucla-
Locals don't usually go to the Lake Buena Vista area. It is Tourist Central!

However some of the best restaurantds are found at WDW:
1- Artist Point at the Wilderness Lodge
2- California Grill at the Contemporary Hotel
3- Victoria & Albert's at The Grand Floridian. (Be forewarned that this place is expen$$$ive, but also very, very good, so I hear.)

Call for reservations NOW!

Here are three more that you should enjoy. They are also within a 20-minute drive of WDW. The first two, however are very small Darden restaurant chains.

Bahama Breeze <http://www.bahamabreeze.com/>
8849 International Drive
Orlando, FL 32819
Sand Lake Road
407-248-2499

I don't think they take reservations but they may have some sort of call ahead seating or wait list. Whatever they call it, get on it. When this location first opened, 3-hour waits on Friday and Saturday evenings were the norm.

Seasons 52 <http://www.seasons52.com>
At the Plaza Venezia
7700 Sand Lake Road
Orlando, FL 32819
407-354-5212

Reservations are absolutely required. This is a very popular and classy place. Call now!

Le Coq Au Vin <http://www.lecoqauvinrestaurant.com/>
4800 S. Orange Ave.
Orlando
407-851-6980

Reservations are probably a good idea. BTW, this restaurant was voted Best French Restaurant of 2007 by the Orlando Sentinel's restaurant critic and by the readers!

Thanks. I made a reservation at Seasons 52.

Appreciate the help.

I wonder if anyone can help me with my sojourn down to Vero Beach. It can be a small dining spot/

You may want to consider reposting with a new title such as "Vero Beach Restaurant Suggestions". I think it would draw more specific suggestions for this area.

BTW, are you a Bruin?

Vic,

Thanks. I was able to get Vero Beach ideas. Yes, I am a Bruin and was present at the Stanford game last night. Wow!

Orlando Vic is always solid advise, so I always endorse his suggestions. I might add:

Columbia
Celebration, FL (about 10 min from BV in downtown celebration).

The Orlando location of Florida's best Cuban restaurant. Also get rez.

Portobello Yacht Club at Downtown Disney/Pleasure Island. A good Italian destianation. If you can get an order table, a nice spot. They also take rez.
