Orlando in September

I am planning a week visit to Orlando in the last week of September and I needed to know whether this is an O.K. a time to go there. I intend visiting all the major tourist destinations in Orlando.

I think that is an excellent time to visit as the kids are back in school and it is considered a real slow period. It won't be crowded and restaurants will be easy to get into. The heat and humidity will be horrible but that is Florda in September. Hurrincane season is then but that is rarely a factor. Try to do Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon in the Disney compound.

Great time to be there but Sept. & huricane season can make it tricky. We were there in Sept. 98 and had a great time, however, the day we left was the day a huricane related storm rolled in and I believe they actually closed Disney for a brief period the next day. We only went to the water parks because it was raining in the afternoon and were already wet. I'm sure glad we did as Blizzard Beach is definately a very very fun time! Go to the other Disney Parks (Magic or Animal Kingdom, etc) when they open and by noon you can pretty much be done w/ most the major attraction. Then when everyone else is standing in line, you're cooling & relaxing in the water! If it's rain (& no lightning)the water parks are a great place to be.

we were there in sep 3 years ago, and though it rained a bit, that was THE time to go to the Animal Kingdom - because the animals hide in the heat, but when it cools down with the rain they come out :)
