Orlando in June

My husband is attending a conference in Orlando the end of June and I am thinking about going along. What things would you recommend for the two of us to do on the weekend and in the evenings and what should I not miss during the three days while he is at the conference? I'm also pregnant (will be 6 months along at that time) and worried about the heat. Do you think I'll be miserable?

Please give us a little more information about your interests. Theme parks? scenic natural attractions, shopping, nightlife, restaurants, etc.

Will you feel comfortable doing a lot of walking? This has implications for all of the theme parks.

Just remember that our central Florida summers last approximately 7 months, from mid-April to mid-October. This year the daily high temperature first broke through the 90 degree barrier in April. Of course the summertime humidity is also in the 90s too. Don't expect mild temps and balmy evenings. This is Florida in the summer.

If it were me and I was 6 months pregnant I would find a nice pool and relaz next to it. Have a cabana boy bring you nice cool drinks.

Good luck and congrats

"Orlando" is a huge area and often when one says "Orlando" it is really south of there, north of there, or just near there. Can you narrow the location down?

What hotel? That will make a big difference. If it's a nice hotel complex, like the JW Marriott-Ritz complex, you will fall in love with it and won't ever need to leave the property.

I travel quite a bit with my husband. I would tell you to go. What have you got to lose? I bet you'll come back and say that you had a good time.
