Orlando: Hyatt Regency
I'm considering staying at the HR Orlando Airport Hotel next month. Anyone have suggestions or experience regarding it?

Many thanks,

Gerry K

Gerry, I stayed there this time last year. It's a business and conference hotel located directly above the main terminal. The view from the rooms is of square miles of concrete and asphalt; opening the door onto your patio is an invitation to choke on fuel fumes.

Other than that, it's a very nice hotel.

It is a nice hotel, but as Neal says, primarily a business hotel. If you are there for a conference it's fine, but if you are there for Disney, I'd take one of the other hotels. Hyatt has two others close to the parks, and one, Grand Cypress, is quite an impressive property. Needless to say you have your choice of chains, large and small, once you leave the airport!!

Thanks, Folks.

Actually, I'll be there to do an aviation article for a European publication, and being an aviation buff, I am one of a select clique of crazies who love nothing more than a good whiff of airplane fumes. What I was wondering about was whether there might be some positives, other than aeronautical, about staying there.

Thanks again,

Gerry K
