Orlando Hotels

I am taking a vacation to Sanibel Island in Feb. We are going to drive to Walt Disney World for a day and are thinking about staying overnight at a hotel in Orlando. Does anybody know a nice, cheaper hotel that we could stay at. It does not have to been on the Walt Disney World Property. We like suites better because we have a child. Thanks Patty

There are more than 10,000 hotel rooms and suites available in Orlando and February is one of the slowest months. Priceline is giving out 4 star hotels for $32 per night in Orlando. For just one night in Orlando, I would suggest you use Priceline and save money. Otherwise you'll be calling a lot of places on your own and might not do as well. If you've never bid on Priceline before, go to www.biddingfortravel.com and read their instructions, then they'll write you up a bidding "strategy" if you'd like. (It's all free!)

There's a good, inexpensive Residence Inn right outside the entrance to Disneyworld. Thats your best bet for a suite and as a Marriot, its nice and clean and stuff.

Holiday Inn Family Suites.
Includes breakfast and two bedroom themed suites with separate living area. Fairly new. Two nice pools.
Just down the street from Disney Parks.
Very reasonable.

I can only recommend that you not stay at the Radisson Maingate. My sister stayed there with her two children last month and was extremely disappointed. Also, there is a web site that gives some good deals:
weeklytop10-orlando.com

If you have a bookstore, library or newstand that sell out of state newspapers, pick up a Sunday Miami Herald or Ft. Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel and look at the adds in the travel section. There are always super low prices at decent hotels. Good luck.

Patty,
I'm also going to Disney in April and I found a really good deal thru QUIKBOOK.com.
