Orlando, Disney World.. Please help...

Thank you for having great advice!!!

We live in Costa Rica. We are taking our 4 year old girl.. We land in Orlando Sat.. night late. We are staying at Grand Floridian. We have a private guide at Disney for Sunday. I was wondering were we should go to dinner Sunday with the 4 year old? I was thinking T-Rex. Is it worth trying to go to a great show that evening ie Cirque Soleil or just better to relax at the hotel? Also wondering about the best place to take a 4 year old on Monday? We were thinking Sea World... Also a fun place for Monday night for dinner.. And maybe something afterwards? Then we go to Boca Grande Tuesday....

Seaworld is a great idea for Monday and has a Hawaiian themed dinner Buffett

The Grand Floridian is lovely.

How about Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner which is at 1900 Park Fare restaurant at your hotel? Your 4 year old will love it. Or Narcoossee's also at the Grand Floridian. Try and check out the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party - truly amazing!

Just checked the Christmas party dates and it is only on Friday 19th this weekend, are spending more than one day at Disney?

Thank you very much, just one day at Disney. Seaworld for Monday sounds great.

I like Seaworld but I would be inclined to spend more time at one of the Disney Parks. I assume you are using the guide for Magic ..??If so I would go to Animal Kingdom or one of the other Disney Parks.
The Cirque show is good but they dont do shows on Sundays or Mondays. T Rex from what I have read has mediocre food but the kids love it because of the themeing.

That sounds great, yes we will have the guide at Magic Kingdom.. I was Epcot the year it opened in the mid 80's. To spend Monday with a 4 year old girl. What other Disney park is most recommended?

I love FODORS! Ok so now we are deciding on Monday... Sea World or Animal Kingdom... With a 4 year old girl... Thank you for the great advice..

With a 4 yr old I'd do Animal Kingdom, that way later in the day there would be time for a little relaxation/nap back at the hotel, you can't do that going to Sea World.

You also might try lunch or dinner at the Rainforest Cafe, the food is good and kids LOVE this place.

thank you

If you can get a reservation for Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom, that would be a lovely place for dinner on Sunday. They have Pooh and friends, and it is such a pretty restaurant. Neither T-Rex or Rainforest Cafe would be my first choice, but most Disney restaurants are fairly good for children.

I would also consider Animal Kingdom. Much of Fantasyland, the part that your 4 year would like best is closed for renovation. That makes the lines for the other parts of Fantasyland that much longer. Last month we took our grandaughters, 4 and 9 to Disney Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Universal Islands of Adventure. The 4 year old enjoyed Universal a lot, particularly the Dr. Seuss section.

Thanks for the great advice... Is Fantasyland at Seaworld or Animal Kingdom?...

basingstoke2 Nov 18th, 2010 05:14 AM

Neither - It is in the Magic Kingdom and has most of the rides geared toward smaller children. Especially missed was the iconic "Small World" ride. Becuase there was so much closed down, the waiting times for those remaining were an hour or longer on the day we were there - A Saturday. A few places had the system where you could get an advanced time pass, but those went very quickly and for most of the more popular ones like "Peter Pan" were gone by the early afternoon.

Hello bfish :)

I'd also choose the Animal Kingdom over SeaWorld. At the AK your 4-year-old would enjoy:

*Camp Minnie-Mickey (don't miss the LIVE performance of the Lion King Show!)

*DinoLand (another show: "Finding Nemo-The Musical" - kids love this!) This area is geared towards the youngsters, with rides, etc. just for them.

*Flights of Wonder in the Asia area - see birds of all kinds in a cute show - try to sit as close to the stage as possible)

Plus the walking trails where all sorts of jungle animals roam around.

Check out the website for more info:

Have a magical trip!

Much of Fantasy land is going to be closed off and on until the completion of the new and improved fantasyland. Some rides may not be open during your visit. Here is an article regarding the expansion of Fantasyland.
