Orlando accomodations...without a car

Greetings,

This is a wonderful site, our friends referred us to it.

We are a family of three, randing from 50-20yrs, going to Orlando this weekend on a last minute trip.

We want to visit Disneyworld, Seaworld and Universal, and are looking for a hotel which has shuttle service or reasonable cost transportation to the three of them.

We would like to stay in a Embassy Suites type hotel if possible, if not, then anything higher than a Motel 6 and not as expensive as the Grand Floridian!

Thank You for reading!

Have you looked into priceline for your hotels?

I don't think there is a shuttle that goes from Orlando to Seaworld and back, it would be quite a drive.

I'd suggest staying at one of the Disney Hotels or very close to the Disney Gates, and there are shuttles that go to the park from the hotels.

The parks are VERY spread out, so you might want to just pick what you really want to see. Also a Park Hopper ticket might be best and it would probably save a bit of money.

I did a Liberty Travel package a couple of years ago, and it was very well priced and included park passes, you might try their website www.libertytravel.com for more info.

Also the www.disboards.com might be another good resource and www.mousesaver.com as well.

This Embassy Suites on International Drive offers free shuttles to Disney and Universal parks.

You can take a cab to the hotel or probably a Mears shuttle.

Once on I Drive, you can take the trolley to just about anywhere on I Drive.

On our last trip to Disneyworld, we stayed on the property and took the city transit to Seaworld and then the trolley up to Universal Studios. The transit drops off and picks up in the transportation section of the park. It was easy to use Disney transportation to get to the park and then walk up to city transportation.
